For the RS:X today there is the conclusion of their Gold and Silver races. They plan to run a 10 board quarter Final and then six board semi final with a grand final of three boards. The winner of the overall opening series goes direct to the Grand Final. The second placed board from the opening series goes straight to the Semi Final.
Weather dependent it should be a big day for the Finn class, with a one race Semi Final Qualifier. The fleet come ashore and the top 5 only go into the Semi Final along with the 3,4,5 placed from the Overall. From this eight boat Semi Final only five will compete in the Grand Final.
For the 470 and Laser fleets it is normal service, Finals series, the 470 Grand Final being cut to eight boats, 10 as usual for the Laser. The Nacra 17 series continues, normal 10 boat Medal Race tomorrow, and the same for the 49ers and FX.
